I was broke, broken, and completely alone, facing a messy and very unwanted divorce with children depending on me. I had no where to turn. Keri could have simply treated me like another case. Instead, she took me under her wing and protected me and my children like we were her own family. She helped me navigate the court system, but she also believed in me during a time when I had a hard time believing in myself. With her encouragement and support, I found my footing again. I went back to school, earned my master’s degree in nursing, and rebuilt a life for myself and my children that I honestly couldn’t see from where I was standing in 2005. I will forever be grateful for the kindness, compassion, and grace Keri showed us. Her selflessness didn’t just help one struggling mother through a divorce—it changed the course of multiple lives.
